Setelah acara Golden Globe 2010, saya pribadi kembali menantikan malam penghargaan untuk insan yang bekerja di industri musik, yaitu Grammy Awards 2010. Acara yang dulunya disebut “Gramaphone Award” ini diadakan setiap tahun oleh National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States. Acara pertama dilakukan pada tahun 1958.

Untuk tahun 2010, Grammy Awards ke 52 akan diadakan pada tanggal 31 Januari 2010, dijadwalkan bertempat di Staples Center, Los Angeles. Saya kurang tahu apakah acara ini akan diliput stasiun televisi nasional kita secara langsung, yang pasti acara ini akan di-broadcast di AS melalui CBS television sore itu, yaitu sekitar jam 8:00pm ET/PT.

Yang perlu dicatat mengenai acara Grammy Award 2010 ini adalah Neil Young akan diberi penghargaan MusiCares Person of the Year 2010 pada tanggal 29 Januari 2010.

Beyoncé memimpin dengan dinominasikan pada 10 kategori. Nominator lainnya adalah Taylor Swift (8 nominasi), Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell, Kanye West (6 nominasi), David Guetta, Jay-Z dan Lady Gaga (5 nominasi). Colbie Caillat,Kings of Leon, Bruce Springsteen, T-Pain, dan Keith Urban (4 nominasi).
